Travel Disney

With some simple and basic planning your travel to Disney doesn’t have to break the bank.  You can take your family on a magical Disney vacation for a reasonable price.   Disney vacation deals are abundant, so it is time to get planning!

Disney travel deals

First, what kinds of deals are available? Disney vacation deals differ depending upon the time of year and the state of the economy. In 2009, for instance, Disney is offering a promotion which offers one day of free admission to one of the four parks in Disney World or the two parks in Disneyland on your birthday. All you need is to show a valid ID as proof of your birthday and viola-you have free entrance to the magic!

In addition to special promotions such as the birthday deal, which is available to all guests regardless of where you are staying, there are other discounts that are offered only for those who stay on-site. It is important to familiarize yourself with the “seasons” at the Disney resorts/parks. The best discounts are offered in “value season” which typically includes mid-August to mid-November, late November to mid-December, and January (after New Years). Crowds are low at this time of year, so Disney is inclined to attract visitors with deep discounts. During these months, Disney offers hotel discounts on top of the already low prices in the form of “discounted room-only rates” — low rates for hotels when you purchase a Disney World hotel stay separately from your ticket purchase. Also, in August and September, “free dining” is offered for those who purchase a Disney resort stay plus tickets.

How can you find these Disney vacation deals? Well whatever you do, do not purchase a Disney vacation or hotel stay at sticker price. The official Disney websites will allow you to price and purchase a vacation package or a room or tickets separately, but it will not generally tell you what deals you may be eligible for. Most of the deals must be booked over the phone using a special “code.” Your best bet to find the deals is to frequently check unofficial Disney vacation planning websites. A quick web search and you’ll find tons of sites which will keep you updated on the latest Disney deals. Once you have a code, you’re just a quick phone call away from your Disney vacation!

Discount Travel Disney

Disney World in Orlando, Florida, is one of my favorite places. If you are planning an Orlando Disney vacation and are looking for information on this extremely fun and fantastic theme park, read on for some tips on how you can save some money.

First, forget about the myth that Disney is only for those with a money tree growing in their yard. This is not true at all. A Disney vacation can be affordable, so don’t despair if you are on a budget.

If you are not within easy driving distance and plan to fly, you can save a little by choosing one of the no-frills discount airline services like JetBlue. You can usually save on airfare with these airlines. Another tip for airfare savings is to make sure you don’t forget to check the prices for flights to nearby cities. Sometimes you can save quite a bit by just driving an extra hour to another city.

If you are planning to stay at a hotel on the Disney property you will pay more for the hotel but you can save money on a rental car at the same time. Keep in mind that Disney has a wide range of hotels with varying prices from their version of value priced such as All-Star Movies, All-Star Music, All-Star Sports, and Pop Century Resort up to the deluxe resorts such as Yacht Club, Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Contemporary, and Grand Floridian among others. You can find much cheaper hotels off the Disney property but you will need to rent a car. The great thing about staying on property is you can get around totally by Disney transportation.

You can save money on souvenirs by buying them at discount stores like Wal-Mart. Of course, the quality may not be the same so you can probably only get away with this if you have very young children. But it is a good savings tip for keeping on a budget for your Orlando Disney vacation. I hope this information can help you save a bit of money on your trip.
